Branchville, Indiana Dwaine A. Bashor, 51, of Branchville, Indiana passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at his home. Dwaine was born July 2, 1962 in Trenton, Michigan, the son of Ralph and Shirley (Maxwell) Bashor. He was preceded in death by his mother. Dwaine attended elementary school in Buffalo, New York where he enjoyed playing hockey. He went to junior high school in Singapore and graduated high school from the American School of London in England. He spent many summer breaks on his Uncle Ted's farm in Feversham, Ontario, Canada where he developed a love for the outdoors. He graduated from the University of Evansville in 1984 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He worked for Square D-Schneider Electric in Evansville, Indiana as an Executive Field Engineer for 29 years. He always tried to keep his customers happy and made an effort to brighten the day of anyone with whom he had contact. Dwaine had a gift for being able to talk to anyone he met. He enjoyed laughing and telling jokes. He worked hard at everything he did whether it be building his own home, fund raising for church, or coaching soccer. He truly enjoyed life. Dwaine and his family moved from Newburgh, Indiana where they lived for 15 years to Perry County, Indiana in 2005 to realize his dream of owning a small farm and living in the country. He always wanted to have an apple orchard. Dwaine loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed bow hunting in the fall and fishing in Canada each spring. Dwaine is survived by his wife, Martha (Yager); daughter Alexandra; sons, Ian, Nathan, and John; father, Ralph Bashor of Warren, PA; sister, Stephanie Bidar of Warren, PA; and brother Steven (Kathy) Bashor of LeClaire, IA. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 18020 Lafayette Street, Leopold, IN 47551 with Fr. Brian Esarey officiating. Burial will be in Canada at a later date. Friends may visit from 3-8 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 at Huber Funeral Home in Tell City, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church Restoration Fund, 18020 Lafayette Street, Leopold, IN 47551.
