Dorothy Patten

Tell City, Indiana Dorothy Patten, 86, passed away October 17, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenwood, Indiana. She was born April 1, 1928 in Spencer County, daughter of the late Carl and Veronica (Gramelspacher) Daming. Also preceding her in death was her husband Donald E. Patten in 2008; a son in infancy, Daniel Joseph; granddaughter in infancy, Brittany; brothers, Joseph in infancy, Elmer, Victor, John, Charles and William Daming; sisters, Clara in infancy, Mary Stiles, Frances Zogelman, Carolyn Scheessele, Catherine Kaufman and Pauline Glotzbach. A member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Dorothy enjoyed quilting, reading, crossword puzzles, was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, and especially spending time with her family. She had worked at General Electric and the Marksmen Inn. Dorothy is survived by her sons; Dean Patten (Barb), Calabash, NC and Douglas Patten (Denise), Greenwood, IN; daughters, Denise Grannon (Bob), Houston, TX, Dinah Thompson (Pat), Indianapolis, IN and Dione Jarboe (Tim), Tell City; eleven grandchildren, Derek, Scott, Dane and Alex Patten, Kristin McCormick, Garret and Joanna Grannon, Amanda and Laura Thompson, Brandon and Elissa Jarboe and eight great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Thursday, October 23, 2014, at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM Thursday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church or Harbor Light Hospice, 7164 Graham Road, Suite 150, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46250.
