Dorothy L. Simpson

Cannelton, Indiana –

Dorothy L. Simpson, 97, passed away peacefully at her home, on March 28, 2024, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Tell City on January 31, 1927, daughter of William Jacob and Mary Elizabeth (Beertzer) Huck.

Dorothy retired from General Electric after 20 years of employment. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, any kinds of crafts and working crossword puzzles. Dorothy always looked forward to visits from her family, especially when she cooked dinners for them on Sundays.

She is survived by her children, Glenda Daum (Jim), Brenda Busick, Tom Simpson, Gary Simpson (Barb) and Judy Flamion (Larry); sister, Linda Hannah; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her parents; husband Raymond “Jug” Simpson; sister, Ruth Hauser; daughter-in-law, Brenda Simpson; son-in-law, Jesse Busick and granddaughters, Heather and Tina.

Dorothy will be buried in Cliff Cemetery, alongside her husband. There will be no visitation or funeral services.
