Dorothy Krutz

Evanston, Indiana Dorothy Krutz, 80, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. She was born April 9, 1931 in Maxville, Indiana (Spencer County) daughter of the late Robert and Paulina (Leibering) Carlton. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Irvin Krutz in 2006, son, Michael Krutz in 1979 and brothers James and Robert Carlton. She was a 1949 graduate of Chrisney High School. Dorothy was united in marriage to Irvin Krutz August 27, 1949 at Evangelical United Church of Christ. She and Irvin were the owners and operators of Krutz Shoe Repair and Sales. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her son Robert ""Rick"" Krutz (Jean), Evanston; brother, Edward ""Earl"" Carlton (Ruth), Huntsville, AK; 4 grandchildren, Beth Jordan (Paul), Rick Krutz, John Krutz (Tracy) and Brian Krutz (Rachel); 11 great grandchildren, Shelby, Kyla, Allison, Brendan, Catelyn, Gabe, Jacob and Samuel Krutz, Kyndall, Halle and William Irvin Jordan; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Lee Brown will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel.
