Dorothy Humphrey

Cannelton, Indiana Dorothy Nell Humphrey, 70, passed away November 15, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Dorothy was born in Talladega, Alabama on August 20, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Edward Christie, Sr. and Kathleen (Brownlow) Brown. Preceding her in death was her husband, Gary Humphrey; step father, Oliver Brown; and a sister, Evelyn Stallings. Dorothy had worked at MasterBrand and she enjoyed gardening, cooking, making flower arrangements and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her much joy. Surviving are her children, April Santiago (Carlos), Chicago and Daniel Humphrey (Tiffany), Tell City; grandchildren, Chandler and Nicole Humphrey and Alexia and Jasmine Gallagher; sisters, Joyce Gurley, Talladega, AL, Faye Sanders (David), Fultondale, AL and Melissa Christie-Drake (Lestley), Birmingham, AL; brothers, Robert Edward Christie (Shirley), Alpine, AL and Billy Christie, Birmingham, AL ; step brother, Franklin Brown (Dianne), Clarksville, GA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CST Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Brother Harold Nix will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 2:00-6:00 PM and Sunday 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
