Tell City, Indiana Dorothy Hinton, 95, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at her home, surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Hancock County, Kentucky on May 10, 1926, daughter of Wallace and Margaret (Stiles) Brown. Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church, Tell City. An avid reader, she enjoyed working crossword puzzles and was a dedicated mother and grandmother who adored her family. Dorothy had worked at various places in town, including General Electric, Jean and Ray's Restaurant, and Fisher Chair Factory where she retired. Surviving are her sons, Duane Davis (Gayle), Tell City and Gerald Davis (Lisa), Hawesville, KY; step daughter, Shellia Foster (Steve), Tell City; sisters; Lavon Siador and Carol Munoz, both of Michigan and Dolores Pino, Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, David Davis, Jason Davis, Nicole Scott, Lisa Fraze, Erica Foster, Kelli Simpson, Joshua, Brittany and Nicole Ringkor; great grandchildren, Amber, Makayla, Davin, Levi, Madison, Ethan, Eli, Alec, Joey, Tyson, Jennifer, Kimberly, Logan and Kyle and great-great grandchildren Maddi and Kameron, Harper, Hadley, Hayden, Blake, Cora, Kenlee, Carson and Naomi. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Bert Davis in 1983; second husband, Dorris Price in 1991 and third husband, Floyd Hinton in 1996; brothers, Don, Randall and William Brown and sisters, Marjorie Brown, Radonnah Fisher and Bertha Bigford. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST on December 16, 2021 at First Baptist Church. Pastor Dan Hopkins and Lee Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel and from 9:00 -11:00 AM Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church.
