Dorothy Fulkerson

Cannelton, Indiana Dorothy G. Fulkerson, 87, passed away Monday, January 7, 2013, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Perry County September 26, 1925, daughter of the late Elmer and Mary Eva (Krausch) Sommer. Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Joyce Ann, in infancy; her husband Porter Fulkerson; sisters, Julia Lovell and Ethel Schoolcraft; brothers, Joseph and Charles Sommer; grandson, Jason Fulkerson and granddaughter, Staci Malone. She retired from Tell City Chair and was a member of Lilly Dale Church of Christ and William Tell Senior Citizens.. She had also worked at Indiana Cotton Mill. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards and dancing. She is survived by daughter; Darlene Malone (Pat); sons, Richard A. Fulkerson (Betty) and Jim Fulkerson (Mindy), all of Cannelton; sister, Marie Poehlein, Tell City; brothers, Carl Sommer, Rome and Tom Sommer, Cannelton. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, with burial in Lilly Dale Cemetery. Bro. Eddie Olberding will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday and from 9:00 until 10:00 AM Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Lilly Dale Cemetery.
