Dorothy Beard

Tell City, Indiana Dorothy Beard, 84, passed away September 7, 2017. She was born in Tell City, Indiana on December 1, 1932 to the late Nathaniel and Josephine (Cook) Robbins. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Roy "Junior" Beard and her son, Michael Beard. Dorothy had retired from Commercial Filters and was a member of Troy Christian Church. She was an avid fan of college basketball, especially IU. She enjoyed talking on the phone and visiting with friends. Surviving are cousins, Joann Stillwell (Joe) of Cannelton, Donna Ward (Billy) of Magnet and Jamie Fulkerson (Rick), Cannelton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM CT on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Pastor Jack Masterson will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00-7:00PM and Tuesday 9:00-11:00AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Troy Christian Church.
