Cannelton, Indiana Doris Bryant Parker, 88, passed away September 15, 2017 on her birthday at her home. She was born on September 15, 1929 in Rome, Indiana daughter of the late George and Daisy (Shoemaker) Shellenberger. Also preceding her in death was her first husband Andrew Seldon Bryant, son Gerald Bryant, brothers, Irvin Glore, David, Donald, and Harry Shellenberger, sisters, Helen Popp and Lillian Ahl, step-son, Daniel White and step-daughter, Valerie Parker in infancy. Doris was united in marriage August 25, 1991 to R.O. Parker, who survives. She worked in housekeeping for Perry County Memorial Hospital for 15 years. Doris was Baptist by faith, enjoyed playing bingo, and watching U of K basketball. She is survived by her husband R.O. Parker; daughters, Flora McCann, Cannelton, Phyllis Bolin (Dan), Princeton; sons, Everett Bryant, Rockport, David Bryant, Cannelton; sisters, Lois Harpe, Fort Branch and Loretta Salmon, Indianapolis; brother, Rodney Shellenberger, Rome; step-daughters, Michelle Trammell, Tracy Parker, Bobbie Oldham, Lula Parker, Sharlene Crossley and Melody White; step-son, Clayton White; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Bryant Cemetery in Derby. Bro. Lewis C. Garrett and Jermie Farmer will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Monday and from 9:00 until 11:00 AM Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Rome Cemetery Association.
