Leopold, Indiana Donald "Paul" Wilkins, 84, passed away on October 18, 2022 at his home in Leopold, surrounded by his family. He was born in Marion, Ohio on April 12, 1938 to Lester and Janet "Ruth" (Brown) Wilkins. Paul was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was united in marriage on December 21, 1971 to Anna Mae (Beedy) LaFord. Paul retired in 2000 from Branchville Correctional Facility where he worked for 30 years. He enjoyed "riding" his easy chair, watching Kelly Ripa on T.V., playing cards and guitar, singing, reading books and completing word search puzzles. Paul loved spending time with family and friends. They will miss him handing out red hot cinnamon candy and his quick-witted humor. He was a member of Deer Creek Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Ann Wilkins, Leopold; children, Annette Reid (Todd), Spencer, IN Ron LaFord (Debbie), Tell City, Kathy Fleming (Larry), Coxs Creek, KY, Tim Wilkins (Tracy Johnson), Edison, OH, Kim Auld, Mt. Gilead, OH, Lesly Wilkins (Lee McKeehan), Tell City and bonus daughter, Bonnie Turner, Cole, MI; sister, Maggie Pierce, Santa Cruz, CA; grandchildren, Valiant Alexander LaFord, Kelly Copeland, Martha Ragan, Corey Hughes, Cameron Irons, Mallory Barrett, Karl and Gena Fleming, Jessica Stillwell, Amanda and William Tinch, Christopher Wilkins, Haley Mechels and Matthew McKeehan; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Paula Tinch; granddaughter, Danielle LaFord; sister, Beth Wilkins and brothers, Bob, Gene and Dave Wilkins. A Celebration of Life will be held in April 2023. Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Wilkins.
