Donald E. Sturgeon

Tell City, Indiana – 

Donald E. Sturgeon, 64, passed away on February 10, 2025. 

He was born in Huntingburg on August 16, 1960, the son of Henry and Hazel (Throop) Sturgeon. 

Donnie was an electrician and had worked for several years at May Electric, in Owensboro, Kentucky. 

In his younger days, he played bass in the Jeff Tate Band. Donnie enjoyed the craft of wood burning, working word puzzles and going bowling. 

Surviving him is a daughter, Joanna Sinclair (Scottie, Jr.); grandchildren, Taylor Sturgeon and Haylee Sturgeon; sisters, Debbie Hale and Penny James and brothers, Mike Sturgeon (Janet) and Rusty Sturgeon (Carol). 

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents; son, Chris Sturgeon; brother, “Little Ricky” Sturgeon and a niece, Jennifer James. 

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Visitation will be from 3:00 until service time on Wednesday evening.
