Donald Sixx, Sr.

Donald E. "Don" Sixx, Sr., 94, passed away November 21, 2018 at his home in Cannelton, Indiana. He was born in Tobinsport, Indiana on June 5, 1924 to the late Roy and Myrtle (Fallon) Sixx. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Marjorie (Elder) Sixx, son in law, Rex Walls and his sister, Ruth Schroeder. Don retired from Mulzer's Crushed Stone where he was a tow boat engineer for over 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching sports and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his children, Don Sixx , Jr. (Darla), Magnet, Patty Walls, Troy and Suzanne Dilger (Greg), Tell City; a niece, for whom he helped raise, Sonya Elder, Reynolds Station, KY; sisters, Beatrice Fine (Ron), Newburgh and Lorna Hicks, Vancover, WA; grandchildren, Chris Walls, Ami Walls (Shane Burst), Mike Walls (Rebecca), T.J. Dilger, Ethan Dilger and Laura Barker (Brandon); great-grandchildren, Addison Barker, Keaton Walls, Levi Hendershot and Sophia Walls. Visitation will be on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 1:00-6:00 PM CST at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
