Donald Shellenberger

Tell City, Indiana - Donald L. Shellenberger, 75, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. He was born in Rome, Indiana, on May 16, 1939. His parents were the late George and Daisy (Shoemaker) Shellenberger. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Carol Jean (Cronin) Shellenberger; his sisters, Helen Popp, and Lillian Ahl; brothers, Harry and David Shellenberger and Pat Gore and a granddaughter, Stephanie Dawson. He retired as a custodian and enjoyed fishing, going to fairs, spending time with family and friends, IU basketball and St. Louis Cardinals. Surviving are his daughters; Alma Wardrip (Danny), Tell City, Donna Dawson (Tom), Lewisport and Wanda Shellenberger, Tell City; son, Richard Shellenberger, Huntingburg; sisters, Doris Parker, Loretta Saalmon and Audrey Harpe; brother, Rodney Shellenberger; five grandchildren, Doug Dawson, Amanda Basham, April Cronin, Jeremy Wardrip and Samantha Wardrip. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City with burial in New Hope Cemetery in Newtonville. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time.
