Cannelton, Indiana Donald A. Rudolph, 67, of Carmel, formerl of Cannelton, Indiana passed away Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis. Don was born in Tell City, Indiana, son of the late Martin Rudolph and Mary Pyle Rudolph. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ben Rudolph and a sister, Margaret Rudolph. Don was a 1959 graduate of Cannelton High School where he was active in sports. He graduated, cum laude, from Purdue University with a degree in Computer Sciences. He was employed as a district manager with Burroughs Corporation and later Unisys Corporation for over 20 years. A United States Army veteran, he was stationed in Germany with the Medical Corps as a clerk. Mr. Rudolph was an avid Purdue University and Indianapolis Colts football fan and had been a long time season ticket holder to both. He enjoyed playing golf, reading and traveling with his wife throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, the former Sara Jane (Sally) Savage, formerly of Tell City, Indiana Three sisters, Ruth Ann Goodman, Hatfield, Indiana Wanda Stephens, Princeton, Indiana Ethel Marie Smith, Owensboro, Kentucky One brother, Charles Rudolph, Cannelton, Indiana He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and an aunt and an uncle. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael Catholic Church, Cannelton, Indiana at 11:00 AM CST on Saturday, July 25, 2009. A lunch for family and friends and a celebration of life for Don will follow immediately after mass at Fulton Hill, Troy, Indiana. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton, Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph had established a scholarship at Indiana University for the benefit of Perry County, Indiana students, where they both attended school in their youth.
