Donald Litherland

Tell City, Indiana Donald W. Litherland, Sr., 70, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Owensboro Health, Owensboro, Kentucky. He was born in Perry County on July 6, 1943, son of the late Samuel and Lillian (Popp) Litherland. Also preceding him in death were sisters, Martha Anita, Rose Marie, and Gertrude Litherland, and brother, Kenny Litherland. He was united in marriage to Gloria Dean Burns, December 31, 1962, who survives. Donald had worked at Schwab Safe for over 30 years and at Can-Clay as a welder. He enjoyed coin collecting, working on cars, and farming. Donald is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gloria Dean Litherland, Tell City; daughter, Dana Truitt, Winslow; sons, Donald W. Litherland , Jr. Tell City and David Litherland, Grandview; 2 brothers, Norbert Lee Litherland, Cannelton and "Bud" Litherland, Tell City and granddaughter, Whitney Litherland. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, July 29, 2013 at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Tell City. Pastor Harry McDonald will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday and from 9:00 until 11:00 AM Monday at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurses Association.
