Don Lasher

UPDATED JAN. 3, 2024 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held jointly for Don and his wife Doris, who passed on January 2nd, 2024, at 10:00 AM CST on Monday, January 8, 2024 at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Rev. Luke Waugh will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM CST on Monday at the church.

Bristow, Indiana

Donald G. Lasher, 83, passed away on December 24, 2023 at St. Charles Healthcare Center in Jasper.

He was born in Bristow on August 12, 1940, son of Alfred and Ruth (VanWinkle) Lasher.

Don was united in marriage on February 20, 1960 to Doris Miller, as they shared nearly 63 memorable years together.

He retired from International Union of Painters and Allied Trades #156 and he was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. Don loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. A lifelong Perry County farmer, he enjoyed camping and gardening.

Surviving is his wife, Doris Lasher, Jasper; his children, Michelle Rogier (Linus), Indianapolis, Valerie Ambrose, (Steve), Bloomington, IL and Faron Lasher (Amy), Jasper; a brother, Sheldon Lasher (Agnes); grandchildren, Kristi Dahlquist (Paul), Adam Rogier (Risa), Erica Perryman (Andrew), Derek and Claire Ambrose, Kyle and Kelsie McWilliams and Evie Lasher and five great grandchildren, Olivia, Finn, Harlow, Brooklyn and Jackson.

Preceding him in death were his parents and siblings, Leota Johnson, Jim, Lawrence “Monk”, Richard, Carl, and Don’s twin brother in infancy, Ronald Lasher.
