Dolores Kellams

Tell City, Indiana Dolores Kellams, 83, passed away February 11, 2017 at Golden Living Center, Lincoln Hills. She was born April 5, 1933 in St. Croix, daughter of the late John and Lillian (Keilman) Saalman. Also preceding her in death was a brother Arlin Saalman and sister, Dorothy Lynch. Dolores was a graduate of Oil Township High School. She was united in marriage to Gene Kellams December 25, 1954, who survives. Dolores retired from General Electric in 1963. She enjoyed playing euchre, quilting and vegetable gardening, often having friendly competitions with her neighbor on who would grow the first ripe tomato of the season, growing rhubarb and strawberries, and making rhubarb pies. Dolores also enjoyed her trips to Branson, Missouri. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gene Kellams, son, Dwight Kellams (Saundra), Fishers, brother, Loren Saalman, St. Croix and grandson, Benjamin Kellams. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Walker Cemetery in Branchville.
