Denny Stephens

Tell City, Indiana Denny Stephens, 73, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at his home. He was born March 31, 1941 in Cannelton, son of the late Charles B. and Virginia (Plock) Stephens. Denny was united in marriage June 18, 1978 to Mary Hogue, who survives him. He had worked at Swiss Plywood and had been a truck driver. He was a member of Sons of American Legion Post #142, where he was a past commander. He enjoyed helping organize the Cannelton Christmas Parade, fishing, country music and playing euchre. Denny is survived by his wife Mary Stephens; son, Michael "Mickey" Stephens, Cannelton; daughters, Denise Hays, Tell City and Leann McCallister, Tell City; sister, Dianna Brown, Tell City; five grandchildren, Stephen Hays, Jr., Tosha Hays, Anna Faye "Charlie" Seifert, Chase McCallister and Kelsey McCallister and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Rev. Paul Alvey will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association.
