Dennis Etienne

Dexter, Indiana Dennis R. "Herman" Etienne, 55, passed away June 29, 2017 at Deaconess Gateway after a brief battle with cancer. He was born March 21, 1962 in Tell City, the youngest of thirteen children, to the late Justin O. and Helen (Reed) Etienne. Also preceding him in death was a brother, Richard "Greg" Etienne, sister, Mary L. Etienne, sister-in-law, Karen Ann Etienne, nephews, Christopher Ory and Todd Etienne and niece, Kearstin Parker, and several aunts and uncles. . Herman was a 1980 graduate of Perry Central High School and was owner and operator of Rural Land, Inc. Know to be one of the best horse shoe pitchers in the county; he was also a great joke teller and social butterfly that loved to visit with family and friends. He enjoyed arrow head hunting and golf. He is survived by his companion; Mickey McMahon, Tell City; brothers, Justin B. "J.B. Etienne (Jan), Tell City, Phil Etienne (Joann), Derby, Fred Etienne (Nancy), Magnet, Francis "Monkey" Etienne (Rita), Magnet, Doyle Etienne (Lana), Magnet; sisters, Margie Edwards (Dave), English, Mary Sailings (David), Crandall, Ruth Ory, Mt. Pleasant, Monica Richard (Charley), Magnet, and Donna Briggeman (Mike), Tell City; sister-in-law, Deanna Etienne (Tom), Derby; several aunts and uncles and 14 nephews and 17 nieces. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday July 3, 2017 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Spencer Cemetery in Dexter. Sheila Rearden will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 6:00 PM Sunday and from 8:30 AM until service time on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Perry County Animal Shelter.
