Tell City, Indiana Dennis R. "Denny" Durbin, 75, passed away November 16, 2016 at Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills. He was born July 6, 1941 in Gatchel, Indiana, son of the late William and Anna Belle (Terry) Durbin. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Marlin, Randall and Billy Durbin. A U.S. Air Force veteran, Denny was a member of the American Legion Post #213. He retired from Branchville Correctional Facility. Denny enjoyed fishing, gardening, taking drives, NASCAR, music, playing his guitar, being with family and visits from his grand dog Hazel. Denny is survived by his daughters; Les'a Fischer (Pat), Tell City and Kelly Jones (Jeff), Rome; brother, Chuck Durbin, Fayetteville, GA; three grandchildren, Brittany Howes (Brett), Lindsay and Madison Jones; 2 step grandchildren, Travis Fischer (Kate) and Lauren Zellers (Brandon), and four great grandchildren, Riley, Zelan, Archer and Eowyn Howes and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Lilly Dale Cemetery, where there will be military graveside rites conducted by the American Legion Post #213. Pastor Kenny Wright will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM Friday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
