Dennis Applegate

Cannelton, Indiana Dennis R. Applegate, 60, passed away Sunday January 25, 2015, at VA Medical Center. He was born in Tell City, August 16, 1954, son of the late Albert and Ada (Adkins) Applegate. A U.S. Marine Corp. veteran, Dennis was united in marriage October 9, 1976 to Linda (Simpson) Maffia. He was a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans, enjoyed fishing and watching his grandchildren in their school sports. Dennis is survived by his wife; Linda Applegate, Cannelton; daughters, Denise Marks, Boonville and Crystal Wroe, Tell City; son, Dennis Maxey, Kentucky; step-sons, Jimmy Maffia and Steven Maffia , both of Cannelton and Billy Maffia, Tell City; sisters, Diana Richard, Fort Worth, TX; brothers, Roger Applegate, Tell City and Kenny Applegate and James Applegate, both of Cannelton; fifteen grandchildren. Funeral services are 12:00 PM Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Simons Cemetery in Tobinsport. Visitation is from 10:00 AM until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
