Denise M. Morse

Denise M. Morse, 70, passed away on April 21, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on April 29, 1953, daughter of David and Rose Marie (Jaskulski) Shriner, who precede her in death.

She was married on May 24, 1975 to Robert F. Morse. They were devoted members of Crossroads Church Tell City.

Denise was the epitome of the word homemaker. A “domestic goddess” as her family loving called her, she was truly one of the last authentic homemakers. Denise worked hard at making her house a home for her husband and three children. She loved cross-stitch and sewing her own clothes as to Denise, things made well, lasted forever. Denise made homemade meals and dinners from scratch, that her grandchildren will never forget. Gathering for family dinners is something they all loved to do.

She enjoyed caring for her chickens and giving her friends eggs as they were always plentiful.

Surviving is her husband of 48 years, Robert Morse; children, Bethany Morse, Michelle “Nicki” Woosley (Benjamin) and Theodore Morse (SongMi); a brother, David Shriner and grandchildren, Josiah and Sophia Woosley, Elizabeth Morse, Robert and Ian Morse.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM CDT on Friday, April, 26, 2024 at Crossroads Church Tell City. Pastor Mark Ayers will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
