Delsie Nix

Tell City, Indiana Delsie Jean Nix, 70, passed away on May 5, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville . She was born in Spencer County, Indiana on September 5, 1952 to Herman and Elsie (Weller) Jordan. Delsie was united in marriage on May 1, 1971 to the David Nix, at Chestnut Grove Church, where they were members. They were married for 50 years at the time of David's passing in 2021. Delsie enjoyed shopping, particularly at Hobby Lobby and decorating. She was extremely proud of her family and her grandchildren would always keep her going. She loved to have family dinners and get togethers. Surviving are her children, Angie Caldwell (Darin), Rome, Tonya Rummage (Jason), Lewisport, KY, Steve Nix (Julie), Owensboro, Keith Nix (Tina), Grandview, Brandi French, Evansville and Josh Nix (Katie), Evansville; grandchildren, Brooke Schaefer (Randy), Kayla Nix, Drew Smith, Hana House (Hunter), Briana James (Austin), Kyle Nix, Lexi Ling (Trevor), John Korressell, Jaxson Nix, Kaitlyn Korressell, Wyatt Nix and Keaton Nix; great grandchildren, Averi Poindexter and London Claire and Preslee Smith and two on the way; and two sisters, Betty Summers (John), Hope and Nina Schoolcraft, Chrisney. Other than her parents and husband, Delsie is preceded in death by her siblings, Bobby, Jerry, Herman "Junior", Louis, James, Benjamin and Steven Jordan, Rita Haaff, Pat Duke, Imogene and Joetta Jordan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Monday, May 8,2023 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Brother Harold Nix will officiate. Burial will follow in Troy Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 1:00-5:00 PM and Monday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
