David Young

Tell City, Indiana

David A. Young, 85, passed away on January 31, 2024 at the Heartford House in Owensboro, Kentucky.

He was born in Troy, Indiana on February 25, 1938.

David was a United States Army veteran. He was a self-employed small appliance repairman; a job he truly enjoyed.

A sports fan, he liked to watch any sporting event on T.V. and always looked forward to spending time with his family.

Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Crete E. (Kelly) Young, Troy; step-daughter, Sonya Hammack (Brian), Leopold; a brother, Don Young, Lewisport, KY; and “Papaw” to Evan Howe (Alyssa, and their son, Owen), and Taylor Fischer (Lehn).

Preceding him in death was his father, Pearl Young, mother, Leola Gladhart and several brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM CST on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Troy Cemetery.
