David Weatherholt

Tell City, Indiana David Weatherholt, 57, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family after a long fought battle with cancer. He was born in Perry County, November 17, 1957, son of Charles and Maytha (Roach) Weatherholt. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Radie and Gertrude Roach and Alva and Betsy Jane Weatherholt. A 1976 graduate of Perry Central High School, David was united in marriage on August 6, 1977, to Debra Roberts, who survives him. He retired from Boilermaker's Union Local 374 after 36 years of service where he also had served as business rep. David was a reserve officer for the Tell City Police Department for ten years and was past president of Perry County Shrine Club, member of Branchville Masonic Lodge #496 F & AM, Order of Eastern Star #292 and First Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding motorcycles and playing golf. David is survived by his wife of 37 years, Debra Weatherholt; daughters, Amber Greulich (Brian) and Tessa DeVoy (Mike); parents, Charlie and Maytha Weatherholt; sisters, Shirley Gayer (Dan) and Tonya Hagerdon (Darwin); grandchildren, Drew and Brilynn Greulich, Ellery and Will DeVoy and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 10:00 AM Monday at First Baptist Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. PastorsDan Hopkins and Rev. Al Madden will officiate. Visitation will be 2:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, and from 9:00 until service time Monday at the church. There will be a Masonic service at 7:00 PM on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church.
