Darrell Hagman

Leopold, Indiana Darrell Gene Hagman, 71, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at his home in Leopold. Darrell was born in Perry County, Indiana on June 26, 1942, son of the late Gervase Hagman and Mary Frances Krieg Hagman, who survives. Darrell retired in 2007 from Kimball Industries where he was employed for forty-two years. He was united in marriage at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold on February 16, 1963, to the former Geraldine James. Many years after leaving high school to begin work, he and Geraldine returned to Perry Central High School to earn their high school diploma together in 1999. For years Darrell and Geraldine spread Christmas cheer to neighbors and visitors with their outdoor Christmas lighting. Darrell was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and enjoyed camping, cards and his puzzle books. Darrell is survived by his wife of 50 years, Geraldine James Hagman, his mother, Mary Hagman, a daughter, Sherry Gill (Donnie), Oriole, sons, Roger Hagman (Helen), Leopold and Chad Hagman of Leopold, a sister, Marilyn Gibson, (Don), Leopold, brothers, Ronnie Hagman (Connie), Santa Claus, Jerry Hagman (Kay), Huntingburg, John Hagman (Sherry), St. Meinrad. There are four grandchildren, Brandon Gill, Bridgett Hubert (Brandon), Heather Edge (Joe) and Cody Hagman, three greatgrandchildren, Kylie and Kaitlyn Hubert and Haeven Barnes. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 11, 2013 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in St. Augustine Cemetery with Rev. Brian Esarey officiating. Visitation is from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
