Danny Sturgeon

Troy, Indiana Danny Joe "D.J." Sturgeon, 54, passed away March 10, 2017 at his home. He was born in Bandon, Oregon on January 6, 1963 son of the late James Russell Sturgeon. His mother, Matilda Mae (Bayer) Sturgeon, survives him. D.J. was employed at Monkey Hollow Bistro in Ferdinand. He was a member of Deliverance Christian Center in Utica, Kentucky, Indiana National Guard and Eagles Nest Ministerial Association. D.J. also enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing, and collecting sports cards. He is also survived by his wife of 11 years, Tammy (Hedinger) Sturgeon; daughter, Breanna Sanders; son, Billy Oliva; sister, Lisa Bolin (Dennis Eugene); brothers, Jimmy Sturgeon (Anna), Steve Sturgeon (Honey Sue) and Albert Sturgeon. Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM Monday, March 13, 2017, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Bishops Mike Brown and Donnie Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM with services immediately following on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
