Tell City, Indiana –
Cyrina Goffinet, 100, passed away on June 13, 2024, at Oakwood Health Campus.
She was born in Tell City on January 25, 1924, daughter of Peter J. and Mathilda (Greulich) Holman.
Cyrina graduated from Tell City High School in 1941. She worked at General Electric for over 32 years, retiring in 1986, while raising six children with her husband, Leonard J. “Peck” Goffinet.
She was a devoted member of St. Paul Catholic Church, the oldest charter member of Daughters of Isabella, K of C Ladies Auxiliary and V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Cyrina was known for her deep love of God, generous spirit, and happy outlook on life. Her contagious smile and sweet demeanor made her a favorite among many. She is someone who encapsulated the word love, as it's who she was at her core.
She loved baking and looked forward to family gatherings, especially Christmas. Cyrina enjoyed volunteering at the Council of Agencies and K of C Bingo Night for several years.
Surviving her are her children, Dianne Rudolph, DMD (Bill), Sandi McKinney (Mike), Stephen Goffinet (Diane), Mary Jo Sabelhaus (Steve), David Goffinet (Dee) and Martha Woodridge (Lynn); grandchildren, Patrick Goffinet, Heather Younker (Jason), Jenny McAuliffe (Sean), Paul Goffinet (Natalie), Aaron Goffinet, Rachel Eck (Tyler), Peter Rudolph, MD, Ellen Jarvis, DMD (Ronnie), Brian McKinney (Abby), Katie Edwards, Kim Strobel (Scott), Brad Sabelhaus (Tara), Jared Sabelhaus (Rachel), Jenna Wooldridge and Logan Wooldridge (Paula) and many great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, “Peck” Goffinet; granddaughter, Emily; sisters, Evelyn Guillaum and Lelan Lautner and brother, Lloyd Holman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Rev. Kolbe Wolniakowski will officiate.
Visitation will be on Monday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM, with a D of I service to follow and Tuesday from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City, Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church Backpack Program and Council of Agencies.
