Cyril Hauser

Tell City, Indiana - Cyril N. Hauser, 83, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in St. Marks on July 4, 1933 to the late Arthur and Catherine (Peter) Hauser. Also preceding him in death are his wife, Sharon (Jenkins) Hauser; sister, Roberta Boerste and brothers, Hubert and Lloyd Hauser. Cyril was a lifelong Perry County farmer who dedicated his life to the conservation of his farm, while raising three young children after his wife passed away in 1975. He was a member of the American Tree Farm System and found enjoyment just being with his family and occasionally watching IU basketball and NASCAR. Surviving are his children, Noel Hauser (Nicole) of Ballwin, MO, Beth Barlow (Neil) of Tell City and Sara Sommer (Andy) of Tell City; grandchildren, Sam and Lincoln Hauser, Joey and Cyrilla Sommer, Heather and Caleb Barlow; brother, Earl Hauser of Tell City; sister, Augusta Hagedorn of Sellersburg and Regina Hauser of Tell City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM CST Monday, September 19, 2016 at St. Mark Catholic Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery where military rites will be conducted. Rev. Sengole Thomas G. will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 6:00 PM on Sunday at Huber Funeral Home and from 8:30-9:15 AM on Monday. Memorial contributions may be to St. Mark Cemetery or Anderson Township Fire Department.
