Connie Reed

Cannelton, Indiana Connie Sue Reed, 62, passed away on June 10, 2023. Connie was born on February 21, 1961 to Lewis and Cynthia Stubbs in Waco, Texas. After Connie graduated from Jessamine High School in 1980, she went on to study psychology at Indiana University. She started her first job at Alva Medical as a sterilizer technician, working there five years leaving Alva in 1986, moving on to a new role as a manager in 1987 at Packaging Plus in Bloomington IN. Connie then moved on to Tyler Pipe as a PM coordinator for the North Plant. She then transferred into the role of a full-time mother and homemaker. In 1981, Connie met Rodney Reed at Alva Medical. Connie and Rodney went on to have one child, Preston Coty Reed. Connie was loving to all her family; she would do anything for her loved ones. She always spoiled all her children and grandchildren and made their life so bright. She would crochet new blankets, scarfs, and other clothing for her family and their children. The life of a party she could make anyone smile and laugh. Some other hobbies she loved to do was to create puzzles and she nurtured and grew her plants. Her loss will be felt deeply she was a gift to us in life and angel watching over us. Connie was predeceased by parents, Lewis Stubbs Jr. and Cynthia Stubbs and daughter, Charlotte Chaney. Surviving is her son, Preston Reed and sisters, Linda Sears and Kim Fairbanks. Memorial Services will be held in Houston Texas with a small group of family and friends.
