Tell City, Indiana - Clyde G. Pyle, 89, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Tell City on October 20, 1927, son of the late Charlie and Florence (Litherland) Pyle. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Dorothy A. (James) Pyle, a son, Clyde Pyle, Jr., in infancy; sisters, Ellie Pyle, Ruth Farley, Mary Rudolph Taylor, Shirley Evrard Mathena and Susie Elder and a brother, Charlie Pyle. Clyde was a member of Carpenters Union Local #90 for over fifty years where he was a heavy equipment operator. He had worked at Malone Brothers and Lutgring Brothers. Clyde was a U.S. Navy and Naval Reserve veteran with life memberships in the American Legion Post #142 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2939. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and coon hunting. Surviving him are his children, David Pyle (Jayne), Tell City, Angela Pyle, Tobinsport and John Pyle (Kathy), Tell City; sister, Marcella Busby, Tell City; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at St. Michael Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary Cemetery where there will be military rites. Rev. Sengole Thomas G. will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM on Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church.
