Clestine Fuqua

Newtonville, Indiana - Clestine "Curly" Fuqua, 76, passed away January 22, 2017, at Golden Living Center in Tell City. Curly was born in Breckinridge County, Kentucky on May 30, 1940, son of the late Jess Lee Fuqua, Sr. and Hallie (Weedman) Fuqua. Also preceding him in death are sisters, Anna Myers and Noveline Myers; brothers, Augusta, Frank, Jessie, Jr., George and Merle Fuqua. Curly retired in 1985 from Swain Industries. He was a member of Chestnut Grove Church of Jesus Christ and ran the sound board for Church of Jesus Christ in Newtonville. Known as "The Lawnmower Man", Curly loved to mow grass and to lend a helping hand to friends whenever he could. Surviving is a sister, Margie Myers, of Newtonville, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM CST on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Tell City. Memorial contribution may be made to Chestnut Grove Church of Jesus Christ or Church of Jesus Christ, Newtonville.
