Clarice James

Clarice M. James, 105, passed away November 15, 2018 at Golden Living Center. She was born in Mount Pleasant, Indiana, July 21, 1913, daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Watson) Etienne. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Ivan James; a son in infancy, Bernard Ivan James; sisters, Marie James, Aileen Rennie, Sister Geraldine Etienne, Hazel James and Myrtle Etienne; brothers, Leonard and Charles Irvin Etienne; and a son in law, Jerome Schepers. Clarice was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the Ladies Alter Society. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, tending to her flowers and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Janet Schepers, Dubois, Linus (Pat) James, Tell City, Charles Roland (Janet) James, Tell City, Joseph Nolan (Betty) James, Mount Pleasant and "Tiger" (Sheila) James, Tell City, twenty grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM CST Saturday November 17, 2018 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial in Old Chapel Cemetery, near Mount Pleasant. Rev. Brian Esarey will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Friday and from 8:30 until 9:15 AM Saturday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church or Old Chapel Cemetery.
