Clarence Crawford

Cannelton, Indiana - Clarence "Junior" Crawford, 85, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Golden Living Center, Lincoln Hills in Tell City. He was born in Tobinsport on September 1, 1930. His parents were the late Clarence Crawford and Dovie Hawkins. Also preceding him in death was a daughter, Angela Clarene Crawford, in infancy; sons, David Clarence Crawford, in infancy and Carly Crawford and a brother, Paul Lyons. "Junior" married Ruby Gude on August 14, 1948, in Hawesville, Kentucky. He retired from Can Clay Corporation where he worked as a mechanic. After his retirement, Junior and his wife hauled creek rock and river dirt. He enjoyed farming, drag racing and fishing. Surviving are his wife, Ruby Crawford; daughter, Pam May, Cannelton; sons, Daniel Crawford, Tobinsport, Billy Crawford, Cannelton and John Crawford, Cannelton; grandchildren, Rob Crawford, Ashton Crawford, Danna Vogt, Christa Young, Carly Crawford, Kristy Altman, Jessica Bryant (Chris) and Megan May and several great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, with burial in Lamb Cemetery in Tobinsport. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Clayton Harris Memorial United Methodist Church.
