Clarence Brandsasse

Tell City, Indiana Clarence ""Brandy"" Brandsasse, 86, of Tell City, died Sunday, November 04, 2007 at Owensboro Medical Health System. Clarence was born in Evansville, Indiana on March 24, 1921, son of the late Clarence and Elvira Repphan Brandsasse. Brandy was a 1939 graduate of Reitz High School. He was united in marriage in Evansville on July 27, 1942 to the former Claire Knieriem, who preceded him in death in 2004. He was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph Charles Brandsasse, and a brother, Donald W. Brandsasse. Brandy served in the United States Navy during WW II in the Seabees. Clarence was a member of IBEW Electrical Workers Union and retired in 1990 as an installer for MUZAK and WIKY Radio Station in Evansville. He and Claire then resided in Fairfield Glade, Tennessee until 2000 when they made their home in Tell City, Indiana. He was a member of the Branchville Methodist Church. Brandy is survived by one daughter, Susan and her husband, Mark Eastridge, Corydon, Indiana One son, Steven and his wife, Marilyn Brandsasse, Velpen, Indiana Five grandchildren, Brandon Crisp, Lee Brandsasse, Stacey Bray, Kim Matteson and Ashlee Enlow Five great grandchildren, D.J., Courtney and Cody Bray, Tanner Matteson and Gabriella Crisp Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CST Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, Indiana with burial in German Ridge Cemetery where the American Legion Post #213 will conduct military graveside rites. Rev. Bill Reid will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to German Ridge Cemetery.
