Clara Eger

Tell City, Indiana Clara M. Eger, 91, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand. She was born in Perry County, February 3, 1922 daughter of the late Theodore and Mary (Hess) Hanloh. Also preceding her in death was her husband Bernard Eger in 2007, and a brother Edward Hanloh. Clara was united in marriage to Bernard Eger August 1, 1945 at St. Paul Catholic Church. She retired in 1984 from General Electric after 30 years. Clara enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and being on the farm. She is survived by sons, Dennis Eger (Janet), Cannelburg and Donald Eger (Linda), Tell City; daughter Diane Bond, Stuart, Fla; 4 grandchildren, Brad and Amy Eger, Kaycee Harris and Arianne Holley and 4 great grandchildren, Bradon and Brennan Eger, Kalista and Remira Harris. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, March 29, 2013 at Huber Funeral Home with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday and from 8:30 until service time Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
