Chuck Simpson

Charles R. "Chuck" Simpson, Jr., 67, went home to be with the Lord on February 25, 2021 at Owensboro Center in Kentucky. He was born October 27, 1953 in Tell City, Indiana to Charles R. Simpson, Sr. and Cleta (Sibril) Simpson Lloyd. Chuck served his country in the United States Army. He was baptized in the Pentecostal faith, was a member of Followers of the Lord Church and American Legion Post # 213. Chuck provided for his loving family for many years as a truck driver, where he was known as "Huggy Bear". He was proud of the many safety awards he earned while trucking. Chuck loved spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed shooting pool, NASCAR racing, basketball, and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, and an infant son, Joshua Simpson. Surviving is his wife Linda Simpson; daughters Shasta Roberts (Stanley, Jr.) and Holly Paauwe (Jonathan); grandchildren, Caiden and Avery Paauwe; brothers, Greg Simpson and Bobby Simpson; sisters, Marie McManaway and Victoria Watkins and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CST on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Rev. Linda Simpson will officiate. Burial, with military rites, will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. David Bolin officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 AM -1:00 PM CST at the funeral home. While visiting the funeral home/cemetery a mask is to worn and social distancing practiced. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
