Tell City, Indiana
Charles E. Neyenhaus, 77, passed away on January 11, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on November 8, 1946 to Alfred and Agnes (Frieler) Neyenhaus.
Charlie was a 1965 graduate of Tell City High School. He had retired in 2009 from Century Aluminum after 37 years.
He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed wood working and gardening.
Surviving are his children, Regina Sandage (Steven), Grandview, Charlene Neyenhaus-Moureau, Green Bay, Wisconsin and Tim Neyenhaus, Tell City; grandchildren, Charles Nicholas Poole, Caleb Poole, Christopher Poole, Marie Etienne (Jeffrey), Mason Sandage and Victoria Allen (Jesse) and great grandchildren, Connor and Catherine Etienne, Rowen and Soren Allen and baby girl Allen due in 2024.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Wilma (Hubert) Neyenhaus in 2019; granddaughter, Riley Elizabeth Moureau and brothers, Andrew, Leroy and Ralph Neyenhaus.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Kolbe Wolniakowski will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday and 8:30-9:30 AM on Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church.
