Charles Skinner

Charles E. Skinner, 74, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2011, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Cannelton on October 12, 1937, son of the late Lee and Lena (Butler) Skinner. A 1955 graduate of Cannelton High School, Charlie married the former Linda Taylor on November 17, 1957. He was a member of Rome Masonic Lodge #33 and St. John's United Church of Christ and a former member of Tell City Volunteer Fire Department. Charlie retired, after 25 years, from Mulzer Crushed Stone where he was an electrician. He then worked for Braun Plumbing for several years. He enjoyed history, football, taking drives and spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Linda Skinner, Tell City; daughters, Lisa Wilson (Jim), Tell City, Genell Wilson (Rodney), Evanston, and Molly Boggan (Micheal), Virginia Beach, Virginia; sister, Wanda Grieve, Oak Park, Illinois; grandchildren, Zach, Adrienne and Erica Wilson, Avery Northerner, Jaci and Chloe Wilson and Carson Boggan; great grandson, Brayden Northerner; step grandchildren, Travis Wilson and Cameron and Kayla Boggan; step great granddaughter, Karina Wilson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in New Cliff Cemetery in Cannelton. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday. Rev. Mike Thompson will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ or Holiday Helpers. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.huberfuneralhome.net
