Derby, Indiana Charles Allen Seibert, 81, passed away April 28, 2020 at Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills. He was born in Gerald, Indiana on March 14, 1939, son of the late Herman and Anna Mae (Schraner) Seibert. Also preceding him in death was his brother, Howard Lee Seibert and a granddaughter, Kirstie Bayer. Charles was a 1957 graduate of Cannelton High School. He was united in marriage on October 15, 1960 to Herberta Taylor, who survives. Charles worked as a heavy machine operator for Mulzer's Crushed Stone for over 37 years before retiring. A member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, he served as a Eucharistic Minister, on the parish council, and on the picnic committee. He also served on the Perry Central School Board from 1970-1978. Charles enjoyed playing music, especially the guitar, bird watching, traveling, tinkering in his shop, and attending his grandchildrens' sporting events. Surviving is his wife of almost 60 years, Herberta "Herbie" Seibert, Derby; children, Melissa Seibert, Indianapolis, Vonda Bayer (Chester, Jr.), Birdseye, Terry Seibert (Danna Decker), Jasper, and Cheryl Weatherholt (Jerry, Jr.), Indianapolis; a sister, Frances Ann Taylor (Gordon), Bristow; grandchildren, Hillary and Brooke Weatherholt, Noah and Reece Seibert, Cade Bayer, Emily Byers (Alex) and Madison Bayer and six great grandchildren, Amulet, Aleks, and Leon Byers, Khloe Bayer, Cameron and Owen Madden, and sister-in-law Faye Seibert, Tell City. The family would also like to thank the staff, nurses, and CNA's at Golden Living Center for the exceptional care and love shown to our husband, dad, and grandpa. Your kindness and passion for caring for others will never be forgotten. Due to mandates concerning Covid-19 services will be private with burial in Derby-St. Mary's Cemetery.
