Tell City, Indiana - Charles Leonard Mogan, 87, passed away on December 31, 2012, at Golden Living Center. He was born in Rome on July 18, 1925. His parents were the late Charles Leonard "C.L." and Frances (Groves) Mogan. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Frances Newell and brothers, Will, Paul and Sidney Mogan. A graduate of Cannelton High School, he was a U.S. Army veteran. Charles Leonard had been superintendent at Perry County Highway Department , a self - employed farmer, and had served on the Perry County Hospital Board. Surviving are his wife, Bernita (Murphy) Mogan; sisters, Jane Bruggeman, Tell City and Nancy Bland, Rome; brother, Joseph Mogan, Decatur, Georgia , nieces , nephews and caregivers including Mike and Beth Bruggeman (nephew), Norma Foertsch (sister-in-law) and Elaine Tyree (niece). Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 4, 2013, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Lamb Cemetery near Rome, where there will be military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post #213. Fr. Sengole Thomas G. will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Friday.
