Charles Keiser

Grandview, Indiana - Charles E. Keiser, 91, passed away on November 4, 2013, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City. He was born in Cannelton on July 24, 1922. His parents were the late Ernest L. and Elsie E. (Poehlein) Keiser. Also preceding him in death was his sister, Eleanor Beumel; niece, Alexis Richards and his lifelong companion, Jack. A World War II U. S. Army veteran serving in Europe, Charles retired as supervisor of Graves Registration for the Department of Army. He enjoyed traveling, culture, opera and watching videos. Charles was a kind and caring man who enjoyed food, fun spirits and the spice of life! His survivors include his nephews, David Beumel (Jennifer) of Cannelton and Alex "Axle" Beumel (Judy) of Tell City and loving and caring neighbors in Grandview. As per Charles' request, there will be no visitation or services at his passing. Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, will be handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Indian Youth Fund at www.indianyouth.org in honor of his good friend and neighbor, Peggy.
