Charles Fruehwald

Tell City, Indiana - Gene Fruehwald, 86, passed away at 7:45 PM on Saturday, February 23, 2008, at his home. He was born in Tell City, Indiana, on November 14, 1921. His parents were the late Louis and Anna (Freeman) Fruehwald. Also preceding him in death were his sisters, Ruth Smith, Carolyn Groves and Bettye Groves. Gene was a 1939 graduate of Tell City High School and was a World War II U.S. Army Air Force veteran. He married Pearl Kleiser on July 8, 1947, at St. Paul Catholic Church. Gene was a member of Tell City Church of Christ. In 1992, he retired as credit manager from Tell City Chair Company where he was employed for 46 years. Surviving: Wife of 60 years - Pearl (Kleiser) Fruehwald Two nieces Several great nieces and nephews Several special cousins Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday and from 8:00 AM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Brian Jones will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tell City Church of Christ or VNA Hospice.
