Charlene Brumfield

Tell City, Indiana - Charlene "Tom" (Eger) Brumfield, 86, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Perry County on July 11, 1927. Her parents were the late Charles and Laurena (Boerste) Eger. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Christie Brumfield; daughter, Lori Turner; son, Mike Brumfield; sisters, Rita Parker, Delores Little and Lois Doogs; brothers, Earl, Bernard and Dave Eger and Donald Eger, in infancy and a great granddaughter, Haylee Voiles. ""Tom"" graduated from Tell City High School in 1945 and retired from General Electric. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella and enjoyed working with her flowers, visiting with friends and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Sharla Goffinet (Larry), Cannelton; sons, Paul Brumfield, Tell City, Charles "Chuck" Brumfield (Pam), Troy and Pat Brumfield (Joanne), Tell City and a sister, Lorna Garrett, Troy. She has eleven grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday and from 12:00 (noon) until 2:00 PM on Tuesday. There will be a D of I memorial service at 6:30 PM on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Animal Shelter and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
