Tell City, Indiana –
Beatrice Catherine (Rogier) McCoy, 72, passed away on March 25, 2025.
She was born in Tell City on January 31, 1953, a daughter of Ralph B. and Augusta (Strahl) Rogier.
Cathy graduated from Tell City High School in 1972 and was united in marriage to Kenneth D. McCoy on October 18, 1980, at St. Paul Catholic Church.
She worked as a surgical technician at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis for over 40 years. During that time, she was able to share her love of sewing by making surgical caps, masks, jackets and pants for many of her coworkers. They, along with her family, were also recipients of her homemade candies and love of baking.
After her retirement, she was able to spend more time vegetable and flower gardening and loved to travel with her husband, Ken. She enjoyed nature, animals and was known to spoil the family dogs with treats, feed peanuts to the squirrels and even make molasses cookies for her brother Ben’s horses and donkeys.
She was a natural leader, with a big heart, was always organized and put others before herself up until her death.
Her husband, Ken McCoy survives her along with her siblings, Mary Ault, Ben Rogier (Sara), Bob Rogier (Trish), Tim Rogier (Linda), Elizabeth Lamping, Allen Rogier (Teresa) and Julia Mobley (Frank); sister-in-law, Veneta Rogier and several nieces, nephews and cousins including Eddie and Anna McCoy who were alongside Ken and Cathy during her recent diagnosis.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Ralph and Augusta Rogier; brothers, Bill and Bernie Rogier; sisters-in-law, Mary Rogier and Eileen Rogier; brother-in-law, Steve Ault; twin nieces, Jessica Lynn and Billie Jo Rogier and a nephew, Patrick Rogier.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 PM CDT on Friday, April 11, 2025, at St. Mark Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Tell City. Visitation at church will be from 12:00 PM until service time. Rev. Phillip Rogier will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to River’s Edge Animal Shelter. Messages of condolence may be left at www.huberfuneralhome.net.
