Tell City, Indiana Catherine B. (Picou) James, 91, passed away February 21, 2016 at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born in Sulphur, April 25, 1924, daughter of the late Charles and Ida Belle (Birkle) Jefferies. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Kenneth C. Picou, grandsons, Robert and Eddie Mogan, great grandson, Matthew Mogan, brothers, Eugene, Edward and Howard Jeffries and a sister Dorothy in infancy. A caregiver, she was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Catherine enjoyed quilting, gardening, making dolls, being with her cats and especially spending time with her family. Catherine is survived by her daughters; Annette Hubert (Earl), Cloverdale, Marilyn Breitweiser (Leroy), Chrisney and Norma Sprinkle (Bud), Bristow; son, Charlie Picou, Magnet; sister, Geraldine Smitley, New Albany; ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Thursday at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in Birdseye Cemetery. Rev. Sengole Thomas G. will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM on Thursday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church or Birdseye Cemetery.
