Carolyn Powers

Tell City, Indiana - Carolyn Sue Powers, 69, passed away on May 16, 2015, at the home of her son in Tell City. She was born in Troy, Indiana, on April 22, 1946. Her parents were the late August and Gennievieve (Lockard) Knable. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Charles Eugene Powers in June, 2014 and her ten brothers and sisters. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting and cooking. She is survived by her sons, Gordon Powers, Tell City, Chuck Russell (Kim), Tell City, Ryan Evrard, Jasper and Anthony Evrard, Tell City; grandchildren, Terra, Tyler and Kaytlin Russell and Alex Powers and a great granddaughter, Olivia Phillips. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Troy. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday. Bro. Jack Masterson will officiate.
