Carolyn Byrd

Leopold, Indiana Carolyn Byrd, 69, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at her home. She was born in Derby on March 13, 1941, daughter of the late John and Cathryn (Carr) Ramsey. Also preceding her in death was her husband Fletcher Byrd in 2008 and a sister Jessie Dixon. Carolyn owned and operated Carolyn's Beauty Shop and Merle Norman Studio out of her home for 25 years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time at home with family and friends. She is survived by daughters, Natalie (Steve) Crowder, Leopold, Crystal (Brandon) Rust, Frankfort, KY, and son Fletcher Ashley Byrd, Leopold, sister, Sandra ""Dolly"" (Ronald) May, Evansville, and brothers Wayne (Virginia) Ramsey, Tell City and Carlos (Carolyn) Ramsey, Sellersburg, and grandchildren Loren Weatherholt, Jordyn Byrd, Kiersten and Aidan Rust. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in Derby. Rev. Aaron Pfaff will officiate. Visitation will be on Friday from 2:00 until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 8:30 AM until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Cemetery in Derby.
