Carl Cronin

Tell City, Indiana Carl E. Cronin, 79, passed away March 28, 2014, at his home. He was born in Tell City, April 8, 1934, son of the late Curtis and Luella (Baur) Cronin. Also preceding him in death was his wife Helen "Betty" (Reed) Cronin, in 2013; brothers, Paul, Vernon, Charlie and Richard Cronin, several grandchildren and a son-in-law, Joe Lane. He was a self- employed tree trimmer and roofer. A member of Tell City First Church of Nazarene, Carl enjoyed fishing, taking drives, playing euchre and spending time with his family. Carl is survived by daughters, Martha Birchler (Paul), Tell City, Opal Lane, Tell City, Nancy Lane (Raymond), Tell City, Kay Flamion (Roger), St. Croix, Mary Shrewsberry (Bob), Owensboro, Candy Davis (Matt), Tell City and Theresa Bradley (Robbie), Holland; sons, Curtis Cronin (Debbie), Cannelton, John Cronin (Kathy), Tell City, Ricky Cronin (Julie), Tell City and Carl A. "Boo" Cronin, Tell City; sisters, Opal Mae Graham (Jim), Tell City; brother, Shirley Cronin, Tell City; brother-in-law, Jesse Reed, Cannelton; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. John Smitson and Pastor Marlin Betts will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday and from 9:00 until 11:00 AM Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Tell City First Church of Nazarene.
