Brenda Thiery

Tell City, Indiana –

Brenda J. Thiery, 75, passed away on September 6, 2024, at her home, with her family alongside her.

She was born in Tell City, daughter of Lloyd and Elizabeth (Volgemann) Zuelly. Brenda graduated from Tell City High School in 1967 and married Robert A. “Bob” Thiery on September 30, 1967, at First United Methodist Church.

Brenda retired from Masterbrand Cabinets and had also worked at General Electric, H & R Block and Circle “S”. She’d never pass up a trip to French Lick but also found enjoyment in just being at home, especially if lots of birds were on their feeders outside her windows for her to watch. Brenda always looked forward to visits from her daughters, but when her grandchildren came too, her day was complete.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert A. “Bob” Thiery; daughters, Janet DeWitt and Jenny Ramsey (Mark); grandchildren, Trinity Mayfield (Colton), Travis DeWitt (Brenna Daniel) and Austin, Mason and Leighton Ramsey; great grandchildren, Rheyse and Kinsley Mayfield; sisters, Patty Duke (Eddie), Darla Hedinger (Clete) and brothers Danny Zuelly (Annie), Rick Zuelly and Kevin Zuelly (Angie).

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Zuelly and brother, Lloyd “Otts” Zuelly.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM CDT on Monday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
